How are we ?
Midorinoshima is a French company specialized in importing alcoholic beverages from Asia and particularly from Japan. At the origin of this project, the encounter of two persons, Arisa Suda is a Japanese girl, specialized in IT security. She meets Jean-Jacques Bacci in New York, he is working as a neurobiologist at Columbia Hopital. Together, they maturate this project which will become reality one year later, in June, 2006. The same year, Midorinoshima starts importing its first product, Kawasemi. The range widens few month later with sake Koï Koï, Sayori and Koshinohana Junmaï Daïginjo. Afterward, Midorinoshima diversifies with a series of "nigori" liqueurs, of plum, apricot and Yuzu. In 2010, Midorinoshima begins a fruitful collaboration with La Maison du Whisky and adds diverse spirit to its catalog: Awamori from Okinawa, Rums from Ogasawara and Laos, Shochu from Kyushu.
From the begining, Midorinoshima has as an objective to bring sake outside of the environment in which was confined, namely the Japanese restaurants. This process is on the right track and spirits coming from this continent starts making a nice place on the shelves of wine cellars, in the traditional restaurants, bars and cocktail bars. The world of spirits evolves and let us bet that in the same way as other exotic drinks made it in the past, spirits coming from Asia will meet very fast a large public. Since 2006, Midorinoshima is pleased to have you discover her selection of Japanese spirits. Drinks which are on their way to find a nice position in liquor shop, restaurants and cocktail bars.
