4. IDENTIFY AND UNDERSTAND A BOTTLE
Finally, that's it, you have your bottle in your hands. Here is a little reminder of the information you will find on the label.

Two important pieces of information

1. Name of the product
This is the "brand" of sake. The name of the product may be strictly identical to that of the brewery that makes it, but it may also have its own name. In fact, each brewer produces different sake that he gives names that are often very poetic. It should be noted that each product or brand can be declined in several references, according to the category.

2. Category
The name of the sake, its "brand", is accompanied by one, two, or three adjectives that give direct information on the technique used during production.
Sake being a very technical drink, these adjectives are of paramount importance, and it is at this point that we know whether a sake is a "Junmaï", a "Ginjo", a "Daïginjo", or other... We will see the different categories in detail below.

The label then gives information about the place of production, the producer, of course, the degree of alcohol, the format, etc...

The back label gives more detailed information such as the type of rice used for production, the degree of polishing of the rice (see the sake process page for more details), Nihonshudo, i.e. whether the sake is rather sweet or rather dry. Finally, there are frequent recommendations for tasting and association with dishes.

5. FINALLY, IF WE WERE TO GIVE YOU A RECOMMENDATION
Try the selection "discovery of 3 sake". The Kawasemi, Koï Koï and Sayori references are available in 30cl and 72cl. Already classics in the world of sake.
