The session starts at 9 am for the candidates and is organized in several sessions interspersed with exercises and tastings illustrating the subject. What characterizes a Honjozo, how is it different from a Ginjo, etc...
What are the different stages of production, those that are mandatory and those that are optional. How the methods used by brewers will influence the style of sake. This is demonstrated through the practice and a good half-dozen sake is tasted during the day in a friendly and studious atmosphere. The questions of the participants are numerous and we answer them with great pleasure.
The exam lasts 45 minutes and consists of a series of multiple-choice questions and the results are announced only a few days later. For this first session, we were very happy to learn that all our candidates had successfully passed the WSET Level 1 in Sake!
