Starting this fall, Midorinoshima is partnering with the Wine Academy of Paris to offer you a training program that gives you access to the WSET Sake Diploma Level 1.

The Wine Academy of Paris :

Created in 2013, the Wine Academy of Paris is a school specialized in the knowledge of wines and spirits. Certified by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET®), it provides all the diploma courses of the WSET®, the most important training institute in wines and spirits on an international scale. The Paris Wine Academy has also been recognized as one of the eight best wine schools in the world in 2016 at the "Riedel Trophy 2017".

The WSET

The WSET has been developing high quality wine and spirits training for over forty years. Organized in three levels, from beginner to expert, these trainings allow the acquisition of product knowledge and tasting skills. Each level of teaching is rewarded by a diploma that guarantees the recognition of professionals all over the world.

The WSET Saké Level 1 Awards

This one-day session is designed for amateurs who are new to the study of sake. It has been designed as a solid but simple introduction.

This course is designed to introduce you to how a single grain of rice can be transformed into such a variety of sake styles, flavors and textures. You will also learn the essential Japanese names for these different styles.

These fundamental references will be passed on to you by ourselves, Arisa Suda and Jean Jacques Bacci, experts who have earned the Sake Level 3 Award and Educators for the WSET.
